Artist Statement

" each day is a blank canvas, make it a masterpiece!"

"I use paint to express my impression of images I see in my mind and in the world. I use the ideas of my influences (Monet, Kandinsky and Pollock) to give the viewer more than just an image. I want to show the image on many levels. The people that look at my paintings will always discover something new each time. Each piece truly is a wo-di (Cherokee word for paint) impression.”

Background:
My education includes a BFA in Visual Communications from Herron School of Art. There I studied Graphic Design, painting and photography. I continued working in these areas polishing my skills, techniques and teaching others. My paintings have been purchased by private collectors and corporations around the Midwest. I have previously shown works in Sigman's Gallery and Goldberg and Feldman Fine Arts.
